Philosophy

A private house

Lascaris & Cie is a single family office established in Nice. We serve one family, across generations, with a single mandate: the preservation and quiet growth of the capital entrusted to us.

We maintain no public offering, publish no track record, and seek no new clients. Our relationships begin, without exception, by introduction. What follows on this page is offered only as a matter of record — not as an invitation.

Mandate

Areas of focus

  • I.

    Real Estate

Direct ownership of residential, hospitality and commercial property, principally across Southern Europe.

  • II.

    Public Equities

Concentrated, long-horizon positions in listed companies, held with the patience of a private owner.

  • III.

    Private Equity

Commitments to a small number of private equity funds and co-investment vehicles, chosen by relationship rather than allocation targets.

  • IV.

    Direct Technology Investments

Direct participation in early- and growth-stage technology companies, undertaken selectively and held for the long term.

Heritage

Nice, and the name

Facade of the Palais Lascaris in the old town of Nice
The Palais Lascaris, Vieux Nice

The name Lascaris is old in this city. In the first half of the seventeenth century, the Lascaris-Vintimille — among the most considerable noble families of the County of Nice — built their palace in the heart of the old town, a few streets from the port. It remained in the family until 1802, and stands today, restored, in the same narrow street, as the Palais Lascaris.

It is that idea — a house built for the long term, holding its ground across generations — that this one takes its name from.
